Wholesale Virgin Cork Bark is a family-run business based in Encinitas, California. We’re the same team behind Davis Farms Wholesale Tillandsias — and like our air plant business, our cork bark operation grew out of a genuine passion for what we sell.
As serious tillandsia growers, we’ve always needed a steady supply of high-quality cork bark for mounting our plants. After years of sourcing bark from various suppliers and being consistently let down — by uneven quality, inconsistent sizing, and poor customer service — we decided to go direct. We began importing natural virgin cork bark ourselves, and it didn’t take long before our customers started asking where they could get it too.
That’s how Wholesale Virgin Cork Bark was born. What started as a way to solve our own sourcing problem has grown into one of the most trusted cork bark suppliers in the country, serving hobbyists, breeders, collectors, and small businesses coast to coast.
What makes our cork bark different
We sell 100% natural virgin cork bark — harvested from the outer bark of cork oak trees (Quercus suber) without harming or felling the tree. Virgin cork is the first harvest from a mature cork oak and is prized for its thick, rugged texture and deeply creviced surface. It’s the real thing, not a processed or reconstituted product.
We carry a wide selection of forms to suit every application:
- Cork bark tubes — natural hollow rounds, perfect for reptile hides, mounted air plants, and vivarium backgrounds
- Cork bark flats — flat pieces ranging from small panels to large slabs, ideal for terrarium walls and mounting surfaces
- Pre-cut cork tiles — uniform, ready-to-use pieces for vivarium builds and display projects
- Premium thin cork sheets — lightweight and flexible, great for backgrounds and creative projects
- Cork bark scraps — an economical option with plenty of usable material
We also carry a curated selection of natural hardwoods and botanicals including spider wood, ghost wood, dragon bone wood, ironwood, cholla wood, sandblasted grape vines, and coconut shell hides.

Free shipping & local pickup
We offer free ground shipping on all orders to the lower 48 states (except for pallet orders) — no minimum required. If you’re in Southern California, you’re also welcome to come pick up your order in person at our location in Encinitas to skip shipping entirely. Contact us to arrange a pickup.
For orders to Hawaii and Alaska, please reach out to us for a shipping quote before ordering.
