Description
Second Harvest Cork Bark Flats are slabs of cork oak bark cut from bark that has grown back after the tree’s first harvest. The first harvest is the rough, deeply grooved virgin cork. The second harvest cork is known as ‘reproduction cork’ which is smoother, flatter and more even in thickness, so it’s a good choice when you want a cleaner, more uniform look for mounting Tillandsias and orchids, lining terrarium and vivarium backgrounds, or decorating reptile and amphibian enclosures. It is also great for use for bird enrichment, including: shredding toys, foraging puzzles, and perches.
